About the guide

What this site is

“Colours of Marrakech” is an independent guide to Rue Yves Saint Laurent in Guéliz: the Yves Saint Laurent Museum Marrakech, the Jardin Majorelle, the Berber Museum and Villa Oasis. Four places a few steps apart, and yet most visitors get confused: which ticket to buy, in what order to visit, and when.

We wrote the page we wish we had found before our first visit: short, with real numbers and times, no filler.

Who writes it

A small group of Marrakech residents who like the place. We do not work for the Foundation, we do not sell tickets and we take no commission from anyone. Photos on the site are illustrative; the words are ours.

How we check facts

Prices and opening hours come from the official site jardinmajorelle.com and are re-read regularly; dates come from the museum’s catalogues and the archives of the Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent in Paris. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we will fix it.

When we write “the queue is longest between ten and noon”, that is from our own visits, not from any official source.

What we do not do

We do not sell tickets or run tours. For booking we always send you to the official site. We collect no personal data beyond what you send through the contact form.
