The questions we get most often, with short answers.
01 How much time do I need for all three places?
Three hours without rushing: an hour for the museum, an hour for the garden, half an hour for the studio, plus a café break. Photographers should add an hour.
02 Do I need to book in advance?
It is not compulsory, but it saves you the queue: with an online ticket you enter through a separate door. In March, April and October booking is almost essential.
03 Is there one ticket for all three places?
Yes, the combined ticket (garden + studio + museum) costs about 300 dirhams, cheaper than three separate tickets. Residents of Morocco get a reduced rate on showing ID.
04 Can I visit Villa Oasis?
No, the villa is a private residence and closed to the public. It occasionally opens for limited events announced on the official site.
05 When is the best time to go?
At 8:30 when it opens, or after 4 pm. The worst slot is between 10 and noon. Best months are October to April; in July and August go very early.
06 Are photos allowed?
In the garden, yes, without a tripod. In the museum’s permanent room photography is forbidden to protect the fabrics. Also forbidden in the Berber Museum.
07 Is it accessible with a wheelchair or a pushchair?
The museum, yes, fully. The garden has paved paths but some are narrow and busy; doable with a little patience. Large pushchairs are left at the entrance.
08 How do I get there from the medina?
Petit taxi from Jemaa el-Fna, about 10 minutes (20–30 dirhams on the meter). Say “Majorelle”. Walking takes about 35 minutes and is no fun in the heat.
